Happy Easter House Mouse and Sketch and Stash

I created this little card for today's House Mouse challenge http://housemouse-challenge.blogspot.com/ to make an Easter card. I have had this cute image for a year, but this is the first time I've used it. I also have not used my new Nesties Pansy. I got this idea from one of the DT's at HM today. I colored the image with Distress Inks (only my second try). The ribbon is Offray - it's blue, but it's hard to tell in the photo. The flowers are Prima and the brad is from my stash. The rhinestones are light blue from Kaisercraft. I tried to use the sketch from Sketch and Stash http://sketchandstashchallenge.blogspot.com/  but with a "round" shape. The phrase is from Flourishes. My granddaughter is staying with us this week, and she accidentally got a drop of water on the phrase :(. Oh well!

This is the card open. I used the daffodil from Flourishes as well.

That's about it. Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

Wistful

This card was made for Sugar Nellie's challenge found  here to choose your favorite sketch. I chose #15. I just got this adorable image and couldn't wait to use it. Isn't she sweet?

I colored her with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. the green cs is from SU and the dp is Basic Grey Porcelain. The ribbon (yes, that is a ribbon) is from Home and More, Michael's. That's it. Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

Spring Picnic

I created this cute card for the Roses on Paper/Belles 'n Whistles challenge here http://ropchallenge.blogspot.com/ to use punches.

I used my MS eyelet corner punch. This image that I just got from Belles 'n Whistles is large enough that I didn't do much else to it besides color it with my Prismsacolor pencils and Gamsol. I did layer it a little. It was really fun to color!

I saw this image as an Elisabeth Bell sketch and was wishing it was a stamp. Then I looked at the BnW stamps, and there it was! So, of course I ordered it! Love it.

That's it. Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

Totally Papercraft #8

This cute Greeting Farm girl was colored a few weeks ago, and I decided not to use her for the card I was making. But I thought she'd be perfect for this week's Totally Papercraft sketch. I used Basic Grey dp, even for the green base. I colored the image with Copics and cut her out with Nesties oval. I'm glad I got the oval, I seem to use it the most! The white ribbon is from my stash. That's it! Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

Stampavie and More #87

I don't use many Magnolia stamps, but I wanted to use this image for this challenge just 'cuz! I colored this image with Tim Holz inks, the first time I've ever used them. I only have 5 colors, so I had to play around and get the best I could. I think her face is a little dark, but I like the jeans and brown cordory jacket! She's cut out with Nesties oval. the dp is K and Co, and the green is SU. the brown is from my stash. I sponged around the image with chalk. Very simple. Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

Sweet Willow Whiff of Joy #72

Hi! This card is for Whiff of Joy's Sketch challenge, #72. I let the K and Co paper be the flowers by the image, and the MS border punch be the embellies at the bottom. I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol, and cut out around the image. I sponged the "white" area with chalk. I then popped the image out with diminsionals. The dp is all K and Co, and the blue cs is from my stash. This was actually a fun sketch. Wasn't sure about it when I started, but I like the results. How about you? Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

Easter means new life and new beginnings

Ok, last post for today. I get to wandering around the blogs looking at this and that, and before I know it, time has passed and I don't get any cards done! My excuse this time, though, is that I was at my daughter's Saturday and Sunday, so I had to catch up today :-). This card was made for 2S4Y's sketch challenge and Stampavie http://www.stampavie.com/dt/ to make an Easter card. I didn't mean for this one to be so brown, but I like it! To me, Easter is new life, Jesus raised from the dead to new life, and as a Christian, we are raised to new life at baptism. So these tiny chicks represent new life. I colored this Sarah Kay image with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol and sponged it with chalks. The dp paper is Basic Grey, and the cs is a combo of SU and my stash. The punches are MS. I cut the image out with Nesties long rectangle scallop. That's it. Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

Whiff of Joy extra sketch

There was a sketch challenge over at Whiff of Joy's Inspiration and Tutorial blog by Katharine (not sure I spelled her name right). I used this Basic Grey paper Sugared (I love this paper), and SU cs greens and pink. The sentiment is from WoJ's Birdee Love. I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol and cut it out with Nesties oval and scallop. The rhinestones are from Kaisercraft. The ribbon is Offray. I sponged around with image with a Prismacolor pencil as well. I love this image. She's so sweet. As are all of WoJ's images! Have to admit, Elisabeth Bell is my fav :-).

That's it. Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

Fruity Basic Grey

This card was to use something fruity or food-related. I used BG's Two Scoops collection. Can you see the "strawberry" iced cupcakes? And the bowl of popcorn this cute CC Design image is holding? She's all ready for a pj movie party with her bear and popcorn. And of course there will be cupcakes and ice cream later! I colored her with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol and sponged around the image with chalk (I must have touched the black chalk and got a smudge on the paper) :( . I used Prima flowers and some buttons from my stash. I used a Fiskers  border punch on the orange dp. I used all BG, no other cs except for the white card base. I cut the image out with Nesties label 4 (love that one).

That's it! Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

Penny Black #93 Sketch

This little Penny Black kitty is from the Critter Party collection. It looks like this Nesties label 2 punch was just made for this stamp, doesn't it!? I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol, and sponged around the image with the sky blue light pencil. I used my MS butterfly border punch and used some of the punched out butterflies around the image, putting a single 1/2 pearl on each butterfly. The paper is from my stash, both cs and dp. The ribbon is Offray.

That's about it. Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

Look what I found!

I had to use thiis ribbon, you see, because it has snails on it! I don't do many boy cards, but this little guy just screamed to be used for OCCSC's sketch challenge #7. I used green gingham paper as the dp, blue and green cs paper all from my stash, and Kaisercraft pearls. The image is Whipper Snapper. Their images are just adorable! I want to get more ;-).  I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol and cut it out with Nesties circles and scallops. Sweet and simple, unless you don't like frogs :-)

Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

Anniversary Card

I made this card for my daughter and her husband's 10th anniversary coming up April 2nd. I've had this Verve image awhile (it's hers), and I knew I wanted to use it for this card. I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol, and raised it up on diminsionals. I used Kaisercraft pearls over the image pearls around her neck. Isn't that a cute look! I cut the image out with Nesties Ovals. I used a MS corner punch on the corners of the BasicGrey dp. The cs is Stampin'Up. The ribbon is Offray, and the larger pearls are Kaisercraft. I used the green cs inside the card and punched the corners of it as well. Don't have a message/sentiment inside yet, as Kerri looks at my blog.

This card fits Cute Card Thursday's Theme Happy Anniversary (#104) and the sketch follows Sketch and  Stash #31.

Thanks a bunch for lookin'. Think my daughter and husband will like the card?

Whiff of Joy #71 Easel Card and DT entry

This card is for Whiff of Joy's challenge to make an easel card. This is my second easel card. I'm going to make more... they are too cool!

I used two images from WoJ's Birdee Love set released in Feb. I colored the images with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. the flowers are Prima, the button from my stash, and the ribbon from BasicBasic. The 1/2 pearls are from Kaisercraft. The DP is from K and Co and the CS is Stampin'Up. I used Martha Stewart's large trellis punch on the dp. Like that look! There are other views to follow:

This view is of the whole card open.
This view is a little more of a side view where you can see the second dp that I used. I took it all the way to where the fold joins.
This view shows how I popped out the images and the flowers. Also the button.

Ok, that's it. Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

House Mouse #65

I picked this Gruffies up the other day at Hobby Lobby when they had their stamps 50% off. Lilacs are my second favorite flower (behind daffodils), and I just had to have this stamp! I colored it with Copics (I know, surprise! not pencils). I outlined Gruffies with C1 and the shadow with G00. I like the outcome. I used SU cs. I used two different Cuttlebug embossing folders for detail. The purple rhinestones are Kaisercraft. I cut the image with Nesties Label 2 and the circle with Nesties large circle. I used MS's eyelet border punch on the green. Check below for the inside of the card...

I used MS's eyelet border punch and used a Whiff of Joy stamp from their Birdee Love set ... again, Lilacs! I stamped with two colors and just did an outline. I like the soft look.

Thanks for takin' a look! What do you think?

FTTC #58

This card was made for Flourish's Timeless Tuesday Challenge, a sketch challenge. I combined SCS's CC262, to use eggplant, old olive, and orchid opulance with a neutral. Swirls was an extra. The BG dp has some swirls in it if you look real close ;-). I used SU's cs, didn't have the orchid, so opped for it in the dp. The border punch... isn't it adorable!... is MS. I bought it for a card class I'm starting on Thursday! The rhinestones are Kaisercraft. The ribbon is Offray. I've had this image for awhile, and this is the first time I've inked it up. I'm going to use it for my class, also. I colored it with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. I cut the circles with Nestabilities as well as the oval with the image.

Can't think of anything else. Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

Penny Black Spring

This little card was made for Penny Black's Saturday challenge Spring. I immediately thought of this stamp. And these papers. I colored this stamps with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol and cut it out with Nesties Label 2. I used Offray ribbon behind the image. The CS and dp are all from my stash. The inside of the card is stamped with a Stampendous stamp and cut with Nesties long scallop rectangle. I stitched the card on the outside twice witha zig-zag stitch.

This is my first basket! I used the Whiff of Joy Tutorial and Inspirations blog for this little basket. I think it turned out really cute for my first one! You can find the instructions here:

And here are the card and basket together. I'm pretty proud of both of them! Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

This is the inside of the card.

ducky

Isn't this little duck just the cutest? It's from Darcy's stamps (my daughter's collection). I colored it with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol, with a shadow outlining. The ribbon is from my stash, the flowers are Prima, the brads are Spare Parts, the cs is SU, and the dp is DCWV. The image is cut with Nesties Label 4. Sweet and simple card.

Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

The Sugar Bowl #31 Judy's Sketch and Color Create #40

I really like the way this card turned out! So simple and very pretty. Sometimes I'm just plain proud of myself, and I am with this card :-) I like this sweet image. I was raised on a farm, and we had baby chicks. They are so soft. Did you know at what age baby chicks can fly (be transported by plane)? One day old ONLY. Can't be any older! Anyway, I colored this card with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. I used Judy's Sketch and Color Create's challenge to use Mint, Chocolate and Cream. It was really fun coloring this card those colors. And this Basic Grey paper! Pretty cool, don't you think? It's from their Bittersweet and Wisteria collections. The cs is from SU. the ribbon is Offray. The stars are cut from BG with my Cricut! I haven't used it in forever, but I found these stars and cut them out. That's about it... oh, cut the image with Nesties circle.

Thanks for lookin'!

Project Tuesday a hinged card

Well, I don't know why this view of the card is sideways. It is right side up where I put it! Durn it!

Anyway, I want to try making different kinds of cards, and I found Project Tuesday. This card for this week is a hinged card. I wanted to try my hand at it. This isn't perfect, I didn't picture this in my head, but I think it turned out ok. I used Stampin' Up card stock and dp from Basic Grey. The brads are also Basic Grey. The ribbon is from my stash. The little mouse is House Mouse colored with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. The flowers are Prima. I used my MS eyelet border punch. Not susre where the sentiment is from (my daughter). I cut the mouse out with Nesties Label 2 and the sentiment with Nesties Label 4. I do believe I'll be doing more of their project challenges. Gets me out of my comfort zone and my rut!

Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

Stampavie and More #85 and Simon Says Sketch

I combined Stampavie and More's challenge to use Orange with Simon Says sketch this week. I found this cool dp from my Basic Grey  Lime Rickey collection. It has lots of orange. I stapled Offray orange ribbon to the image and used some orange Prima flowers as per the sketch. I used Basic Grey brads for the flower centers. This image from Sarah Kay is so sweet! I colored it with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. I used a soft sage green and orange cs from Stampin' Up. I cut the image with Nesties Label 4.

That's it! Thanks for lookin'!

Whiff of Joy #70

I made this card with Whiff of Joy's Willow with Strawberries from the Summer 2009 set. I colored it with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. The flowers are Prima, the pearls Kaiser, the dp Basic Grey's Sugared, the cs from Stampin'Up, and the image cut with Nesties Label 4. Not sure where the sentiment is from. I used 3 layers for this card, well, actually 4! Hope you enjoy it.

Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

RoP/BnW #33 Easter Card, 2S4Y Laura's Sketch 47

Tuesday again! But this card is for Monday's Roses on Paper/Belles 'n Whistles Easter card challenge and 2S4Y Laura's Sketch challenge. I love Belles 'n Whistles stamps, and they are planning a new release soon, don't know when. And this Basic Grey Sultry! Isn't it gorgeous? Makes a perfect Easter card. I colored the sweet image with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol and shadow sponged around the image with pink chalk. The flowers are Prima and the white pearls in the centers are Kaiser, as are the pink rhinestones. I used Nesties circle for the mat and Label 2 to cut out the image. I wanted to show the inside of the card as well. I used Nesties Label 4 to cut the sentiment.

Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

Stampavie #19, Mojo 129, Critter Sketch #4

I LOVE this image by Rachel Anne Miller for Stampavie! I've had it quite awhile, and was just waiting for Stampavie to resume their challenges to use it! Nothing says spring like a little critter, and this card/image just shouts spring. I colored the image with my Prismacolor pencils to match the Basic Grey LilyKate paper. The blue and green cs is from SU. It is so springy in its colors. The ribbon is Offray and the flowers are Prima with a Kaiser green rhinestone in the center. I cut the image out with Nesties labels 4, the third largest. I sponged around the image with chalk. I used today's Mojo Monday sketch, and the colors just happen to go with Critter Sketch #4 (and these are adorable critters!).

Thanks so much for lookin'!

Gabbi at 18 weeks

I took these pics this morning. This little white dog is our 12 yr old Maltese, Jacob. He was my "empty nest" puppy. We have to keep them seperated because Jacob wants to fight Gabbi, and Gabbi wants to play. She plays a little rough for his liking. Hopefully some day they will be friends!

Look how light she is getting. And those ears! They are so strong! She's a sweet girl, wants to greet everyone. Thinks everyone should want to meet her! She likes to drag her pad out of her crate and lie on it outside the crate on the kitchen floor. I guess I don't blame her :).

Thanks for lookin' at our little (I use that term loosely) girl.

Hugs.

Penny Black #91 Basic Grey #15

Mornin' all! Happy Monday... supposed to be on the warm-er side this week here in Florida! I'm so ready! Had hard freezes over the weekend, but it's supposed to be getting better.  Sure hope so :-). This card was made for two challenges: Penny Black to make a easel card... my first! And an inspiration challege for Basic Grey. This is my take on that. I used Penny Black's image of this cute hedgie (love those little critters), colored it with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol, matted on cs by SU, the dp is Basic Grey Periphery. The almost white looking is also BG Periphery, it's a cloudy looking paper that fit the inspiration photo. The brads are by Bo Bunny. I used MS's butterfly pop-up border punch for the inside of the card.

That's about it. Thanks a bunch for lookin'! Have a blessed week.

Stampavie & More #84 with Sketch & Stash #54 and Simon Says Stamp

This card fits at least 3 challenges! Stampavie and More #84 is to make a card for spring. Check. Simon Says Stamp is to make a card for a female, be it girl, woman, sister, or friend. Check. I used Sketch and Stash #30's sketch for the card. Check.
So, I colored the Sarah Kay image with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. The image and mat are raised up slightly with foam squares. I punched the border with a MS border punch, and used some of the flowers that were punched on the card. The dp is by Basic Grey: LilyKate, and the blue cs is SU. The flower is by Prima Flowers and the brad is Spare Parts from Hobby Lobby. And there you have it! Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

Whiff of Joy #69 Coffee and Cream color challenge

Whiff of Joy color challenge coffee and cream... well, for thinking brown and gold, this didn't turn out too bad! I used one of my new February images and colored it with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. I sponged around the image with chalk and cut around it. The brown and dp is from Basic Grey and the cs is from SU. The flowers are Prima and the brads are Spare Parts. The scalloped circle is cut with Nesties. I popped out the scalloped circle with foam dots and also popped out the image. The flowers are also on foam.

I think that's it. Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

Gabbi is 4 months (17 weeks 1 day)

This is our "little girl" todayl Look at those ears! My hubby says she's a rabbit! Both ears are strong and straight now, no more lopping over. I love it when they cock their heads to the side when you talk to them. She still wants to bite, but not as bad. Now we are teaching "Off" when she jumps up on us. She loves to greet the kids in the neighborhood... and they love to see her! But she's a bit exuberant yet. We sure don't want her hurting anyone! She's been to the beach twice now, and loves it... loves to run around. Need to take her to the dog park to run around and socilize with other pups.

Her coloring gets lighter every day. Think she's going to have a really pretty "saddle" soon.

Thanks for your interest and for lookin'! She's a sweetie.

RoP/BnW Challenge 32

Good Monday morning. It was 32 degrees again last night here in Jacksonville! Where IS spring? It's that darn global warming, I tell ya'!

I made this card for Roses on Paper/Belles n' Whistles combined challenge #32. I love this little B n' W stamp. I don't have too many boy stamps, but this one is too cute. I colored it with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol, cut it out with Nesties label #4, the largest one, and mounted it on red paper from SU. I used small square brads by Spare Parts from Hobby Lobby. The blue paper is also SU, the dots dp is from my stash. Very simple. I sponged around the image with blue chalk. That's it!

Thanks a bunch for lookin'! If you see spring, send it this way! :-)
