New Beginnings

Spring and flowers always signify new beginnings for me. So I chose this Gruffies stamp with the Wheelbarrow and potted plant to signify New Beginnings for spring... even though it's still a long way off! I colored with Copics. The paper is Making Memories English Garden and the ribbon is also MM. I used the sketch from Sketch N' Stash #52. I used my Nesties Oval scallop to cut out the image and popped it up on foam dots. That's it. Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

Totally Papercraft and SFYTT

This card was made for two challenges: the sketch is for SFYTT and the theme is for Totally Papercraft to be "fruity". The strawberries and the apples on her dress fit that bill.

The image is Whiff of Joy. The dp is from SU, the cs is DCWV and unknown. The flowers are Prisma and the buttons are BasicGrey. I used Cuttlebug's Swiss Dots embossing folder on the dark purple. The image is cut with Nesties ovals and scallops, and I used Nesties Peony. The image is colored with Copics.

I think I got it all. Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

I'm back! The Sugarbowl #39

I made this card for my son-in-law's birthday August 4. He and my dtr have two cats and a hamster, and this image was just about perfect. It is from the Country collection of Sugar Nellie. I love all those stamps. May have to try and collect all of them! This card was made for The Sugarbowl's challenge #39, found here http://sugarbowlblog.blogspot.com/ .

I used BasicGrey dp for the background and Stampin'Up Almost Navy for the dark blue. I used Distressed Ink to sponge around the image. The rhinestones are from my stash and the 1/2 pearl stickers are from Kaisercraft. I popped the image up on foam squares. I used a Martha Stewart corner punch and a corner rounder punch on the corners.

I stitched around the outside block with a zig-zag stitch on my new little Singer craft machine. Still getting used to it!

That's all. Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

Totally Papercraft #8

This cute Greeting Farm girl was colored a few weeks ago, and I decided not to use her for the card I was making. But I thought she'd be perfect for this week's Totally Papercraft sketch. I used Basic Grey dp, even for the green base. I colored the image with Copics and cut her out with Nesties oval. I'm glad I got the oval, I seem to use it the most! The white ribbon is from my stash. That's it! Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

House Mouse #65

I picked this Gruffies up the other day at Hobby Lobby when they had their stamps 50% off. Lilacs are my second favorite flower (behind daffodils), and I just had to have this stamp! I colored it with Copics (I know, surprise! not pencils). I outlined Gruffies with C1 and the shadow with G00. I like the outcome. I used SU cs. I used two different Cuttlebug embossing folders for detail. The purple rhinestones are Kaisercraft. I cut the image with Nesties Label 2 and the circle with Nesties large circle. I used MS's eyelet border punch on the green. Check below for the inside of the card...

I used MS's eyelet border punch and used a Whiff of Joy stamp from their Birdee Love set ... again, Lilacs! I stamped with two colors and just did an outline. I like the soft look.

Thanks for takin' a look! What do you think?

Totally Papercraft #5

Happy Friday! Of course, the days all seem the same to me :). Oh, well. Had a great day out yesterday with the ladies.

This card is Sue's first sketch for Totally Papercraft #5. I interpreted it a bit differently than most. I used a solid piece of cs, embossed with a CB folder (swirls) and seperated it with ribbon from Robert Stanley Collection. I used an image from Whiff of Joy, colored it with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol, plus Copic E00 Skin White. I gently sponged and colored around the outside of the image with pink and soft shade of purple. The paper is from DCWV and SU. The flowers are Prima. I put some FlowerSoft (Heather) on her basket of flowers. The brad in the upper flower is from BG.

Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

The Sugar Bowl #30 Kathy's Sketch and Shabby Chic

I just love artist Rachel Anne Miller. Her images are so sweet! I used this image for today's challenge. It is colored with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol, except for her face. It is colored with Copic E00, Skin White. I sponged around the image with chalk. The dp is from K & Co, the cs is a mix of my stash and DCWV (green). I used the edge of my scissors to rough the edges. Some day I'm going to get a tool to do that! The red ribbon is from Offray, the rhinestones are Crystal Stickers from Elements. I enjoyed this sketch. It ws fun to make these paper shabby. Oh, I also stitched around four of the layers! Ok, that's it!

Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

Whiff of Joy #65 and OCCSC1

Love Whiff of Joy! I haven't used this image before, about time, don't ya' think?! This challenge was Love. I used WoJ's sentiment "Love Grows Happiness". I thought it fit with the spring flowers she's sitting in :)
I also used the sketch challenge from the new OCC now OCCSC #1.
What I did:
Copics: E04, 10,21,33,35,37
G 09,21,85,99
R00, 11,20,22
RV13
C1
I used Spring FlowerSoft on the tall flowers of the garden scene. I cut the picket fence out with my new MS border punch. I used BasicGrey's Stella Ruby green and dp, and SU's pink cs. The sentiment is also WoJ. The flowers are from The Paper Studio. I used a pink Kaiser rhinestone for the center of the layered flowers. The flowers are popped out, as are the garden scene and the fence.
That's it! Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

Friday Sketchers #87

This card was made for Friday Sketcher's #87. I like clean and simple sketches. :) The cs is DCWV. The ribbon is Offray, the image is Sugar Nellie, and the sentiment is Verve. The pearls are Kaiser. I colored the image with Copics. I used my new MS eyelet border punch. I have always loved eyelet lace, and this border punch is perfect for me!
That's it. Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

Mojo123 and CAS51 Free Hugs

This card was made for 2 challenges: Monday's Mojo 123 and SCS's Clean and Simple 51 to use designer paper. Mojo 123 was to do a square or round card. I used designer paper from Daisy Bucket Designs, Playful Petals that already had a circule with flower embelishment as part of the design. I used Kaiser pink rhinestones in the center of the flowers and red rhinestones over red dots in the design. The stamp is Stampendous Fluffles Hugs F199. I put just a touch of color on Fluffles iwth Copic markers. The ribbon and bow are Offray. Clean and Simple!
Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

Penny Black #85 and OCC

Happy Saturday! It's gloomy in Jacksonville today. Slightly chilly (for here). Been cleaning house, then made this card for Penny Black's challenge #85, Something Sweet, using OCC's sketch challenge for today. I used cs DCWV and from my stash. Of course, the image is Penny Black, colored with Copics. I love this image, they all look so happy! The ribbon is from Offray, Celebrate It, and Valentine's from Michael's. The pearls are Kaiser. That's about it. Simple and Sweet :)

SASSC49

I've been wanting to use this paper from Basic Grey's Porcelain. It is so soft and pretty. The pearls are Kaiser, the ribbon Offray. I colored the Stampin'Up image with Copics. I think the sentiment is also SU, but I'm not certain (my daughter's stash again). I used Nestabilities circles to cut out the image and mat and popped it out on foam squares. I used Nesties large labels for the sentiment. The cs is from my stash.
Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

Well, I finally made a card I can be truly happy about! I made this card for CCEE's sketch challenge. I love these colors together. The papers are as follows: Stampin'Up, DCWV, K&Co, and unknown. I colored the Sugar Nellie image with Copics and sponged the background with chalk. I cut the image out with Nestabilities rectangles. The flowers are PrimaFlowers and the pearls are Kaiser.
So am I getting better? Hope so!

Penny Black #84 and Sketch Saturday #86

This card is for two challenges: Penny Black #84 to use blue, cream and gold, and Saturday's Sketch Challenge #86.
You can never go wrong with Hedgie. He is my favorite PB character. I colored with Copics. I'm not sure where the sentiment is from. The papers are SU, the pearls are Kaiser latte... my favorite from them! The dp is BG. A simle card, but I think it's pretty cute :)

House Mouse #61 and Friday Sketchers #85

This little bunny is soaking it all in. I colored the image with Copics. The main part of the card is scored in a grid, but it's really hard to tell. The dp is from K & Co, and it's kinda on a grid as well. The ribbon is from Home and More Classic Collection. I like wide ribbon, but sometimes it's hard to use. The blue border is from DCWV. It's reverse cut with Nestabilities, and I rounded the corners. The rhinestones are from Elements.
Hopefully you can tell the sketch. I turned the whole sketch to a portrit view.

FTTC50

Hi, and happy Hump Day! It's almost over :). This card is for Flourishes Challenge #50, to make a scene using stamps. I used Flourishes Swing Set to create this happy swing. I love to swing even at my age, and really loved it as a child. I colored the stamped images with Copics, and used chalk on the grass, sky, sun, and faux tree. The girl and grass and flowers were cut out as a group and then popped out on foam dots to add dimintion. (I never know if I spell that word right!) Very simple yet fun. I had to think about it for a couple days before I could stamp the image and construct the card. Hope you like it!

This little birdie and bunny are waiting for spring :) I made this card for SCS WT253. The dp is by Adornit and the green cs is from my stash. The image is from my daughter's stash. I used Copics to color the image. I put black pearls on the bunny and bird's eyes and a pink pearl for the bunny's nose. I used green rhinestones for bling and for the center of the flower. The ribbon is Offray.
Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

Your Next Stamp Challenge 6 2nd card

I wasn't completely happy with my first card for YNSC's sketch challenge. So I combined it with Basic Grey's inspiration challenge. I used BG's Two Scoops paper, Offray ribbon and Robert Stanley Collection gray ribbon. I colored the image with Copics: BG 10, 11, 13, G21, and Y11. The brad is also BG Two Scoops. The rhinestones are Kaiser. The image is from my dtr's stash.
Thanks for the second look!
