New Beginnings

Spring and flowers always signify new beginnings for me. So I chose this Gruffies stamp with the Wheelbarrow and potted plant to signify New Beginnings for spring... even though it's still a long way off! I colored with Copics. The paper is Making Memories English Garden and the ribbon is also MM. I used the sketch from Sketch N' Stash #52. I used my Nesties Oval scallop to cut out the image and popped it up on foam dots. That's it. Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

Belles n' Whistles anything goes!

Well, it's already Thursday! Even not working the weeks fly by! I thought about this card a couple days and had it finished yesterday, but was in a funk, and didn't feel like doing much of anything. So, today it goes up! The challenge for this week's Belles n' Whistles was "anything goes". I love this image, but it's a bit large. It's hard to use with normal challenges. So I pulled it out and inked it up and colored it with Prisma color pencils and Gamsol. I cut it out with my largest Nesties scallop rectangle. I then sponged around the image with chalk. The blue paper is embossed with Cuttlebug Swirls to look like clouds :-) and the green is from Making Memories. The flower(s) is the sun :-). The brad is from my stash. The 1/2 pearls are from Recollections. That's about it. Thanks a bunch for lookin'! Have a great rest of Thursday.

Stampavie #30 Bev's Sketch

This card was made for Stampavie's sketch challenge by Bev. This is my take on the sketch. I love this image and was so glad when it became a stamp! I colored it with Prisma color pencils and Gamsol and cut the image out with Nesties rectangle and scallop. The ribbon is from my stash, and the flowers are Prima. The 1/2 pearl is Kaiser Craft. The cs is SU and the paper is Making Memories English Garden.

That's it! Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

Mojo 125 and Copic Creations #21

This card was made for two challeges: Mojo Monday #125 and Copics Creations #21. The image is from Belles n' Whistles by Elizabeth Bell. OMG! I have fallen in love with these images. I think Elizabeth Bell is at the top of my favs for artists. Her images are so adorable! I used Almost Navy from SU, the ribbon is Basic Basic. I used my CB swiss dots folder. The rhinestones are Kaiser. The soft blue is border punched with my new MS eyelet lace border punch. The Copics I used are:
Hat: V01, V15, BV00
Skin: E10, YR00
Apron: R20, R22
Skirt: YR00, 02
Jeans: B24, 34, 97
Flower on hat: R30, 11
Cat: C1, W3
Hair: E21, 33
Pillow: E32, 34
Grass: YG03, 25
Pitcher: BV31, 23
Shoes:E04
Yarn: G21, 000
Outline of image: B00
The idea for the Copics Creation Challenge was to feather blend. That was really hard, even though I looked at the tutorial. I need lots of practice!

2S4Y 44 Kickin' back

Happy Friday, all! This card was made for Monday's 2S4Y 44 sketch challenge. I have re-discovered Susie B. I love her cards! She is an awesome lady who makes incredible cards! She is my inspiration. I had "lost" her during my 6 month time away from card making. I re-discovered her this week. Check her out at HeartPrints.com.
This card features Penny Black's little bear, 3829H Kickin' . I colored him with Prisma color pencils and Gamsol. The paper is Making Memories Spring (plaid) and Mod 37080 Flower Dance (floral). The green and blue cs are SU. The ribbon is Offray, the pearls are Kaiser pink. I put Diamond stickles on the lemon and lemonade and Fruit Punch stickles on the flowers. The image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black.
Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

SAVSC2: A brand new Challenge!!!

I know, I just used this image! But for a brand new challenge, I just had to use my favorite Sarah Kay! And they are colored totally different, and the cards look nothing alike. Forgive me? Thanks :)

A close-up of the card.

I used Country Girl by Sarah Kay and colored her with Copics as shown. The image and mat are cut with Nestabilities rectangles and scallop. For a "country" image, I just had to use my calico paper and checks (gingham) blue. The gingham is by Making Memories, don't know for sure the floral dp. The flowers are tiny Primaflowers with matching brads. The pearls are Denim by Kaiser Craft. Don't know the blue cardstock. The card base is GA Pacific cardstock from Wal-Mart.

That's it! Thanks a bunch for lookin'!
