This card was made for Friday Sketchers #117. I used a Whipper Snapper Design image and colored it with Prisma color pencils and Gamsol. I cut the image out with a Nesties Oval. I used a Martha Stewart Border Punch wide to make the "trellis" look. The dp is from Karen Foster and the flowers are Prima and Recollection. The tan background paper is SU and the orange is DCWV. Very simple. Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

ducky
Isn't this little duck just the cutest? It's from Darcy's stamps (my daughter's collection). I colored it with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol, with a shadow outlining. The ribbon is from my stash, the flowers are Prima, the brads are Spare Parts, the cs is SU, and the dp is DCWV. The image is cut with Nesties Label 4. Sweet and simple card.

Totally Papercraft #4, Friday Sketchers #90
This card was made for two challenges: Totally Papercraft #4 and Friday Sketchers #90. I pulled this paper out yesterday, thinking I'd like to make a card with them. I had printed this image from Free Coloring Pages awhile back, shrinking it down. I love this Sarah Kay image. I hope they make it a stamp soon :). I colored her with my Prisma color pencils and Gamsol. The sentiment is Verve. I cut the sentiment with Nesties Label 5 (I finally got one!). The green base is from my stash and the pink cs is SU. The dotted dp is from my stash. I think the floral dp is from Creative Imaginations. The flowers are Prima (green) and Spare Parts (pink) with a pink brad in the center. I used CB's Bloom Dots on the base of the card. I sponged green and brown chalk to give the illusion of floor and wall. I think it turned our pretty cute. What think you?

Friday Sketchers #89
Hi! Made it to church today. Sometimes it's hard for my mother-in-law to get around (almost 98 she is!), but today we made it. Was a good morning.
I made this card for Friday Sketchers #89. I used an image from my daughter's collection, colored it with Prisma color pencils and Gamsol. Cut the image and mat with Nestabilities ovals and scallop, cut the square (diamond) with Nestabilities squares. The ribbon is Celebrate It from Michael's. The pearls are Kaiser Hot Pink. The paper is from my stash, the paper on the diamond is Basic Grey. Simple card, but fun to make. I like 'em simple :)

Friday Sketchers #87

This card was made for Friday Sketcher's #87. I like clean and simple sketches. :) The cs is DCWV. The ribbon is Offray, the image is Sugar Nellie, and the sentiment is Verve. The pearls are Kaiser. I colored the image with Copics. I used my new MS eyelet border punch. I have always loved eyelet lace, and this border punch is perfect for me!
That's it. Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

House Mouse #61 and Friday Sketchers #85

This little bunny is soaking it all in. I colored the image with Copics. The main part of the card is scored in a grid, but it's really hard to tell. The dp is from K & Co, and it's kinda on a grid as well. The ribbon is from Home and More Classic Collection. I like wide ribbon, but sometimes it's hard to use. The blue border is from DCWV. It's reverse cut with Nestabilities, and I rounded the corners. The rhinestones are from Elements.
Hopefully you can tell the sketch. I turned the whole sketch to a portrit view.

Goin' on a picnic!
Ok, this is for Friday Sketcher's Challenge #48. I used this Sarah Kay image - isn't she adorable? I colored her with my Copics and cut out the image with Nestabilities Oval - the largest one. Yes, it cut off the end of the tire, but I fixed it. The image is popped up on foam dots. The card base is gray cs, and is DCWV as is the blue and yellowish green. The cream is unknown. All cs is from my scrap stash. The dp is from Basic Grey's LilyKate. It's 6x6 inches, all the same sheet! The pearls are from Michaels and the flowers are Primaflowers. Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

Friday Sketchers #47
This is for Friday Sketchers sketch challenge #47. The image and sentiment are from SU (StampinUp), I'm pretty sure (my daughter's stash). I cut both out with Nestabilities Circles, Scallops and the image with long rectangle scallops. I used cardstock I had and the dp is Dena Designs by Imaginations. The image is colored with Copics: Y06, YR04, R11,27, RV13, and 000. I used Kaiser white (snow) pearls in the upper right corner, and a ribbon from Michael's: Go With the Grain. I used the swirly paper instead of a stamp or cut-out. I thought it made a really pretty card! Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

Friday Sketchers 46
This little card was created for Friday Sketchers #46. The card base is GA Pacific cardstock. I'm not sure what the mat for the stripes is from. I used Basic Grey - Cupcake dp , both the stripes and the red mat for the image, and Stampendous Fluffles and Snail. The image is colored with Copics: R20,22,29, G21,99,000. The ribbon is by Home and More Classic Collection. I used rhinestones from Michael's on the upper right corner, and in the centers of the flowers I put Kaiser Copper pearls. Simple but sweet :)Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

Friday Sketchers #45, Cute Card Thursday #53
This card was made for Cute Card Thursday #53, to make a card for a family member. This is for my hubby just 'cuz! I used Friday Sketchers #45 for my guide. I used blue DCWV, and the pink and green are from Basic Grey. The image is Great Impressions. I colored it with Copics. I sponged the background of the image with chalk, blue and green. The sentiment is from SU. The flower is Prima and the button is a guess :). I finished it with a pink gingham ribbon and attached the sentiment with a spiral clip. That's it! Pretty simpleFriday, March 20, 2009
Magnolia vs Stampavie, Friday Sketchers
Isn't she adorable!!! I absolutely adore Sarah Kay. I must have them all!!!!! Actually, this one is my daughter's. Last time I visited her we traded images. This reminds me of when I was growing up on the farm in southwestern Missouri. We had baby chicks every summer. And now, behind our Florida home, we have a retention pond. It has so much water fowl that is so much fun to watch! Well, we currently have ducklings. Mama duck started out with 13, but she's down to 9 as of this morning... darn turtles! There must be 25-30 turtles in that pond as well, and they love baby ducks! But they are growing quickly (the ducklings), so maybe most will survive. But that's what this image reminds me of.This is for MvsS challenge to make a mother's day card. My mom has been gone for years, but I'm going to give it to my mom-in-law. She loves watching the water fowl, and she was raised on a farm in Iowa. I colored the image with my Copics and sponged it with chalk. In the upper left corner I put a little sunshine :). Using last Friday's sketch challenge, I have three layers, including the image. The image was too large to actually layer, so I cut it with Nestabilities rectangle, embossed it, and cut the second layer with a smaller scallop rectangle. The paper is Basic Grey (can you tell I like BG paper?). The flowers are Prima and the pink rhinestones are from Kaiser (I also love Kaiser pearls and rhinestones... I want them ALL!!!). I really think it turned out really cute, but it could just be the image that I'm in love with ;)
Basic Grey #26
Good Friday morning, folks! My husband was out of town yesterday, so I gathered up my card making materials and took them to the family room to be close to my mum-in-law and to watch the NCAA basketball championship games. I was very productive! I made the following cards for various challenges for this past week. Hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed making them!

This card was made for Basic Grey's challenge not to use any pointed or square corners. The card was made with BG's Two Scoops. I put the yellow paper behind the image after cutting it with Nestabilities circle scallops. The image is also cut with Nesties circle. I used a Fiskers corner punch on the main panel corners and used my corner rounder on the cardstock for the card body. The stamp is Fluffles the Cat from Stampendous. I colored the image with Copic markers. Embellishments are ribbon, a spiral clip, Prima flowers and Latte pearls from Kaiser. It's a simple card, but I think it turned out really cute!
This card was for the Mojo Monday sketch challenge #78. Again, I used Basic Grey Cupcake for my background paper. The image is from SU (I think... it's from my daughter's collection). I colored the image with Copics and tied a short piece of ribbon in a knot and glued it onto the image. The pale blue is sponged on using my chalk. I haven't sponged with chalk before, and I really like the results! I used two strips of ribbon because it's pretty narrow, and doubled the bow. I used Kaiser pearls in Latte to complete the card. What do you think???
My Favorie Things Sketch Challege #73

This was probably the most fun card I made. I wanted to use this ribbon, so I colored the awning red and left part of it white. I colored the dress blue and the suit red and pink, giving her red boots. I love the look of a white card with dry embossing, so I used my CB Swiss Dots embossing folder on the background and also on the phrase. The phrase is cut out with my narrow rectangle Nesties scallop, but it's hard to see. I raised the image panel on foam dots, glued the top of the awning to the background panel and raised it again at the front on foam dots to give it a 3-D look. I had to use cotton on the poodle. I may have gotten a wee bit too much... what do you think? I finished the card with three Kaiser red pearls. I colored it all with Copics. So, what do you think? I think it's pretty cute myself :)

This card was made for yesterday's Cute Card Thursday. The recipe was to use something torn or ripped, two papers and four embellishments. I ripped/tore the image and ruffled the edges. I used a brown chalk around the edges as well. I colored the image with Copics. The image is from SU, my daughter's collection. My embellishments are two flowers (Prima) stacked with a brad in the center (that's 3) and a ribbon through the sentiment (that makes 4). The paper is from Basic Grey's Infuse. I also punched the bottom of the floral dp with a border punch, but it doesn't show up very well. I thought it turned out pretty cute for such a limited card. What do you think?
Penny Black Sketch Challenge #40
As simple as this card is, I think it turned out really cute! But I love the colors together. The image is Penny Black, colored with Copics, and sponged with chalk (told you I liked the results!). There is a green ribbon behind the image, but it got hidden with the Prima flowers. I popped the image up on foam squares. The image is cut out using Nesties ovals and scallops. I used silver brads in the corners. This could definitely be a CAS card!
Hey, thanks a bunch for lookin'! I'll have to make some more during the tournament again today! :)

Friday Sketchers 39, SCSLSC207

Hey there, Hi there, Ho there. This card is for 2 challenges: Friday Sketchers 39 for the sketch and layout, and SCS's LCS207, to S T R E T C H ourselves to either do what we don't normally do, or not do what we normally do.
I used 3 different patterns of paper for Basic Gray's Infuse. The bottom layer is muted patterns, and then there are two others on top. I sewed the two small panels onto the muted one. I have a hard time sewing on paper! And I didn't color the Inkadinkado girraffe. That was hard! I inked him twice, and popped him out on small pop dots. I popped the flowers out on larger dots. I used brads in the centers of the flowers, and pink rhinestones on the upper right side of the paper. I used Nestabilities ovals and scallops for the image. That's it. Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

No Stamps Used

This card was created for two challenges: OCC inspiration challenge to use favorite embellishments, and Friday Sketchers #38.
My favorite embellishments are ribbon and Kaiser 1/2 pearls. I used 3 different ribbons on this card, used the pink one twice, second time on the flower. I used green Kaiser 1/2 pearls on the corners of the largest layer and in the middle of the flower. The white 1/2 pearls aren't Kaiser, but they look adorable on this card. I love this patterned paper. I got it some time ago at a stamp store that was closing ( :( ). Didn't know then what I'm learning now: that stamping is an addiction! I used green and pink cardstock for layering. I left the inside blank. This would make a cute note card to send to a friend.
Thanks for lookin' and have a blessed Sunday!
