Happy Friday! This card is for the Verve February challenge #2, a sketch challenge using no patterned paper. I did use a patterned ribbon to tie the colors together. This ribbon was on sale at Michael's when I was there early in the week, and I thought it was really pretty, and I don't have much wider ribbon, so I picked it up. Think it works ok for this challenge????

On the light blue-gray I used my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder. I put white dots on the scallops. I used graduated blue rhinestones on top of the reb strip, and red rhinestones in each corner. I added a bow and clip on the large scallop. All the circles were cute with Nestabilities. I layered the red and light blue-gray then put a darker blue layered under the red strip. I used a medium blue for the large scalloped circle layered under the light blue-gray circle. I used red for the scalloped smaller circle layered under the darker blue. These I put on foam squares. I also popped out Fluffles and his sign on foam squares. I colored Fluffles with my Copics.

CCEEC

It's Friday afternoon! But since I've been staying home with my mom-in-law, every day is Saturday! I really don't miss working... now I have time and more energy to stamp! :-)

This card was made for Monday's CCEEC, a sketch challenge. I used DCWV cardstock, and I'm not sure of the dp. It's a pale pastel plaid. It's hard to see in this picture. I used blue rhinestones in the corners and a blue ribbon and blue flowers by Offray for accent. The cat is colored with Copics. This is a simple card, but I think it turned out kinda cute, what do you think?

Basic Gray SC20

Hi! I did this sketch challenge for Basic Gray. We are supposed to use something by Basic Gray. I used brads. I have two black and two red, and a dark pink with a beige heart. I thought it went well with my other colors! I used a beige ribbon around the card. The heart image is colored with Copics. My next purchase is going to be some Basic Gray paper! I love their brads, and I'd like to get the paper that matches. This was a slightly difficult card for me. And I still don't think I followed the sketch as closely as I'd like, but it's close :-).

Hi! This card was created for My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge 67. I used MFT Hot Stuff for my image. The two dp are from Creative Imaginations. Don't know the cardstock. The ribbon is Offray. I put two brads at the top corners after cutting out a place for them in the dp. I colored the images with Copic markers. I didn't have enough room after I used that huge flower for another image, so I just put the coffee mug on top of the flower! I used Holly Stickles around the top edge of the mug. I used Nestabilities Ovals and Scallops for two of the layers, and the Long Rectangles and Scallops for the top layers. I cut out all the images and put them up on dimintionals. I used a Fiskers border punch on both the green and dp layers. I put additional layers inside the card and used the sentiment: "Coffee and friends... the Perfect Blend". I think it turned out pretty cute. What do you think?

House Mouse DT Call Application

Well, huh! I've not done anything like this before! I have a few more HMs that I haven't made cards from yet. And Hobby Lobby is just 2 1/2 miles from my house... and I know where there are 3 stamp stores that sell cute HMs.... Planning ahead, you see! I'd love to be a design team member for House Mouse. I love those little critters, and the bears and bunnies. I am brand new (4 months or so) to the stamping community, but I've been bitten hard by the bug. As my dh says: "Addicted"! So, without further ado, my samples:

House Mouse Challenge 23, USCSC13

This card was made for two challenges: The House Mouse Monday challenge to make a valentine, and Unity Sketch challenge. I used red paper as the base, covered it with pink gingham paper, ran some pink paper to layer the ribbon on. I cut three layers for the image, including the image itself, using Nestabilities ovals. I put large pink brads in each corner of the gingham paper. I put paper hearts around part of the image, using brads in the centers. Some are raised up on pop dots. I used Studio G for the sentiment. I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. I put white dots around the scalloped oval.

SCSSC214 Birthday parade

I made this Penny Black card for Natalie's birthday card from her Grandmother, whom I'm taking care of. I used the Happy Birthday embossing folder from Cuttlebug on the red panel. You can almost see it! The image is from Penny Black. I colored it with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol, then sponged around the edges with a Dew Drop ink pad. I used Diamond Stickles on the candle. I used Nestabilities long rectangle scallop for the mat under the image. There was enough layering that I popped it out on foam squares so it would be straight. I put silver brads in all corners for a little bling, and used a red and silver ribbon above the image. I used the bow paper on black inside, and stamped the little mouse with the balloon. The saying inside says "Everyone deserves a parade on their birthday! This parade is for you! Enjoy your 32nd!"

MOJO72

Hi! This card was made for MOJO Monday's challenge #72. It is a birthday card for my baby girl, who turns 32 this week!

I used blue and yellow cardstock, and a gingham dp and floral dp. I ran the floral dp through a Cuttlebug border folder with flower impressions. I used Waterfall stickles for the bling above the knot and ribbon, yellow Kaiser 1/2 pearls on the large background at the corners, and two ble Kaiser 1/2 pearls on the floral dp. I used a yellow gingham ribbon and glued a knot onto it. Should have tied the ribbon but forgot until it was attached :-(. The image is a Penny Black stamp that I colored with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. I cut the image and mat with Nestabilities ovals and scallops. I mounted the image up on foam squares to pop it out. I put blue cardstock and the floral dp on the inside of the card.

Cuttlebug Challenge

I am so excited! I participated in the Cuttlebug weekend challenge, and I won a prize package on Friday! I had a great time looking at all the tutorials and all the different things you can do with Cuttlebug and the embossing folders. Now, just to have the time to try some of them...

Precious Friends PBSC34

Hi! I made this circle card for the Penny Black challenge #34 to make a circle card. I've never done one before. I planned it all night last night and didn't sleep very well! I used black, red and white cardstock, white and black flowers, and white Kaiser half-pearls in the centers. I used a black and white ribbon from Textured Trios. I colored the little hedgie with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. I put white dots on the black and red scallops. Everything was cut out using Nestabilities circles and scallops except for the image, I used the oval scallop. The inside is also black, red and white with a phrase by Kathy Davis for Inkadinkado "Precious and few are friends like you". I usedwhite eyelets at the top of the circles to string the ribbon through to tie the two pieces together.
