Penny Black #114, Basic Grey #26, Sketch Saturday #116
Hi! Saturday is almost over, but I wanted to get this card posted. I made this card for three challenges: Penny Black #114, Feeling Fruity. I don't have any PB stamps with fruit on them, so I colored the frosting strawberry :-); Basic Grey #26 to use pearls. I used red Kaisercraft 1/2 pearls on the corners of the image and also on the little strip on the left side, top and bottom; I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday #116. I colored the image with Prisma color pencils and Gamsol and cut it out with Nesties rectangles scallop and mounted it on the next size up rectangle. I used Basic Grey's Nook and Pantry paper and SU green cs and DCWV red cs. I think that's it. Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

The Sugar Bowl #41 Marleni's Sketch
This seems to be one of the most used Sugar Nellie stamps by Elisabeth Bell. I've seen her on many cards. I finally ordered her and this is the first time I've inked her up (new). This card is made using a sketch by Marleni and an optional theme to use something old or something new. I ended up using something of both. I colored the image with Prisma color pencils and Gamsol. I cut it out with Nesties circle. I used a Nesties flower to mount the image with. I separated the dp (Basic Grey's Nook and Pantry) with a white Offray ribbon. I used tiny 1/2 pearls from my stash on various points of the "flower". I used Prima flowers and nested red, white and red, with a white 1/2 pearl in the center (from my stash). The red paper is DCWV (I've had it quite awhile... old).

7 Kids first Challenge and 2S4Y Laura's Sketch 58
This card is for 7 Kids College Fund's very first challenge, pink and dots. I used this adorable Sarah Kay image I got from 7 Kids a few months ago, and this is the first time I've inked it up! I colored it with Prisma color pencils and Gamsol. I cut the image out with Nesties labels. The dots paper and the pink cs are from K & Co. The ribbon is BasicBasic. The 1/2 pearls are KaiserCraft. Sweet and Simple again.

Belles n' Whistles with A Spoonful of Sugar
This card was made for my bestest friend (my bff) Jill, who lives in Colorado. I just love all of Elisabeth's B&W stamps! I'm gathering a collection :-) .This challenge for B&W was to use shades of purple. I also used A Spoonful of Sugar's sketch #29, Flati's sketch. The dp is BasicGrey, the cs is SU. The image is colored with Prisma color pencils and Gamsol. The flowers are Prima. The ribbon is Offray. The rhinestones are KaiserCraft. I stitched the larger pieces together then stitched the two other dps to the cs. I used a purple pencil to shade around the edge of the image cute with Nesties label. The image and flowers are popped out on foam squares.
That's it (I think). Thanks a bunch for lookin'!
The Sugarbowl Your Choice
I just love this image from Sugar Nellie's Country Collection. She just looks content with the world. I colored her with Prisma color pencils and Gamsol and cut the image out with Nesties long rectangle scallop. the ribbon is Offray, the flowers Prima, and the 1/2 pearls are from KaiserCraft. The dp and green cs is Stampin'Up and the brown is DCWV. Sweet and simple!

Belles n' Whistles and Sketch and Stash 40
Last summer, September, I met my sister (half sister, actually) for the very first time. I knew she existed but we had never lived together or spent any time together. We didn't even know the whereabouts of each other. I started playing an Ancester.com and connected with a cousin... actually a grandson of my dad's brother. He knew my sister Vondell. He gave her my phone number and she called me. We spoke on the phone several times, and then I flew to Texas to visit with her and my bro-in-law for the very first time. I got to stay a whole week and we had a great visit. We both had red hair (she still has a lot of color where mine is white). We are both short (she's 5' 1", I'm 5' 2"). I'm left handed and she's right. She has lived in Texas her whole life. I lived there until I was 1 month old :-). So now, I made this card for her birthday in August.
I've been wanting this image awhile (from Belles n' Whistles) because it's Sisters. I knew I wanted to use it to make Vondell's card. I got it in the mail today! So I made the card for BnW's monochromatic challenge http://bellesnwhistlesstamps.blogspot.com/
and Sketch and Stash Challenge 40 found here: http://sketchandstashchallenge.blogspot.com/
I chose to use blues. The cs is from K&Co, Portabello Road. The cs's are SU and DCWV. I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. The ribbon is Offray and the lace is Wrights. I cut the image out with Nesties labels 4. The flowers are Prima. I cut the leaves with MS punch. The pearl is Kaisercraft.
That's about it. Thanks a bunch for lookin' and readin' my ramblin's! :-)

Gabbi 8 1/2 months gets a bath
Gabbi loves getting a bath. We had the water being heated by the sun all day, so it was nice and warm. She doesn't fight and try to run away. She's a good (and huge!) girl.
She has this thing with her paws. She does this when we play with her.
After her bath she ran all over the back yard. Here she is chasing her tail. And she does catch it!
One final swipe of the towel, and she's all done. Now we have a clean puppy!
Totally Papercraft and SFYTT
This card was made for two challenges: the sketch is for SFYTT and the theme is for Totally Papercraft to be "fruity". The strawberries and the apples on her dress fit that bill.
The image is Whiff of Joy. The dp is from SU, the cs is DCWV and unknown. The flowers are Prisma and the buttons are BasicGrey. I used Cuttlebug's Swiss Dots embossing folder on the dark purple. The image is cut with Nesties ovals and scallops, and I used Nesties Peony. The image is colored with Copics.
I think I got it all. Thanks a bunch for lookin'!

I'm back! The Sugarbowl #39
I made this card for my son-in-law's birthday August 4. He and my dtr have two cats and a hamster, and this image was just about perfect. It is from the Country collection of Sugar Nellie. I love all those stamps. May have to try and collect all of them! This card was made for The Sugarbowl's challenge #39, found here http://sugarbowlblog.blogspot.com/ .
I used BasicGrey dp for the background and Stampin'Up Almost Navy for the dark blue. I used Distressed Ink to sponge around the image. The rhinestones are from my stash and the 1/2 pearl stickers are from Kaisercraft. I popped the image up on foam squares. I used a Martha Stewart corner punch and a corner rounder punch on the corners.
I stitched around the outside block with a zig-zag stitch on my new little Singer craft machine. Still getting used to it!
